Reissue of card

Ordinary – reissue of cards instead of those handed previously, for customers who are on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, is performed according to one of the following categories:

  • card expiration – the reissue is free of charge when the card expired or till the date of expiration remained less than one month. It is necessary to draw up the application of card reissue and to submit it to any bank branch together with the expired card. If the customer does not restitute the old card, the application shall be drawn up according to the clause regarding the Reissue because of loss. At application submission, the account owner shall present an act of identity. The cards for salaries shall be reissued automatically, without application submission, You shall address to the enterprise accounting department and ask how to receive a new card. 
  • at owner request (because of card damage, loss or PIN code compromise, at owner wish) – drawing up of application of card reissue, according to this reason, is preformed only if the owner transmit to the bank the previous card, if the owner does not restitute the old card, the application shall be drawn up according to the clause regarding the Reissue because of loss. In case of PIN code compromise, the customer shall request the card blocking calling Support Service at telephone number +/37322/548940. the fee for reissue is charged according to the tariffs established by the bank. At application submission, the card owner shall present an act of identity.
  • card loss or theft– it is necessary to fill in the application of card reissue and the application of the lost or theft card annulment. Reissue according to this category is performed in case of card loss or theft, and all the other cases, when the owner submit the application of reissue, but does not restitute the old card. In order to avoid the non-sanctioned operations with the card, the customer shall solicit immediately card blocking, calling Support Service at telephone number +373/22/54-89-40. At reissue the fees according to the tariffs established by the bank shall be paid. At application submission, the card owner shall present an act of identity.
  • owner name/surname modification – card reissue is performed if the owner name/surname was modified. To this category the non-significant name/surname modifications, as a result of ulterior incorrect transliteration from Cyrillic and other similar cases, are not related. In this case, the card reissue is performed as a part of the category Reissue at customer request. The owner is not obliged to draw up the Application of card reissue and the Application of modification of identity data. The fee fir reissue is charged according to the tariffs established by the bank. The owner shall present an act of identity as well as a document which certifies the modification of name/surname.

Production defect (bank fault) – Application of free card reissue shall be drawn up when a defect admitted by the bank was detected after the card issue/personalization.

Reissue of card for customers which are abroad – when the owner is abroad, the bank may reissue the card sending it by post. To receive the card:

  • the applicant shall address to Support Service of Bank Cards Department at the telephone number +/373 22/ 57 68 24 or sending a message on the Email client_service@micb.md
  • the applicant shall fill in the Application of card annulment and Application of card reissue with its receipt by post and to transmit them to the Bank Cards Department by fax.
  • at card and PIN envelope receipt, the applicant shall notify the Support Service regarding this at the telephone number +/373 22/ 57 68 24;
  • the bank activates the card on the base of vocal confirmation of the applicant, who shall answer the control questions of the Support Service employee.

The applicant bears the expenditures connected with the card delivery to the address of the applicant (DHL, UPS system) and, also, pays the fees according to the tariffs.

At reissue by post, the bank does not receive the old card, this is the reason why the customer pays the fee for loss regardless of the card reissue reason.
